impressive numbers
Admob has recently come out with a new report which, among other things, compare the market today with the same period last year. A year ago, Android had 2% of the ”smart” phone segment, today Android has 24% and has thus grown 1100% in just one year!
iPhone OS has 50% of the market against 33% last year and would therefore not be disturbed by Androids growth in current situation, the different platforms seems to appeal to different customer segments.
Nokia and RIM is the manufacturer who had to give in, and Nokia is reported to have lost market share from 43% down to 18%
It will be very interesting to see these numbers next year.
